KMF Architects partnered with Mellow Mushroom to reimagine and revitalize its Mount Dora restaurant, transforming the space into a vibrant dining destination that reflects the brand's signature personality, creativity, and laid-back spirit. The renovation included exterior enhancements and a complete redesign of the front-of-house experience, creating a cohesive environment that celebrates the restaurant's eclectic character while providing a fresh and memorable experience for guests.

Drawing inspiration from Mellow Mushroom's iconic imagery and seventies-inspired roots, the design embraces bold colors, playful artwork, and immersive details that create a sense of whimsy throughout the restaurant. Every element—from floors and ceilings to signage, finishes, and custom graphics—was carefully curated to reinforce the brand and create a unified visual identity.

The redesigned interior introduces a vibrant palette of blues, pinks, and greens that energize the space while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Custom artwork, mushroom-inspired motifs, and creative design features establish focal points throughout the restaurant, transforming previously disconnected elements into a cohesive and engaging dining environment. Acoustic ceiling features, warm wood finishes, exposed brick, and layered textures contribute to a comfortable and lively setting that encourages guests to gather, linger, and enjoy the experience.
