KMF Architects partnered with the Town of Windermere to conduct a comprehensive assessment of several of the community's most significant historic resources, providing the foundation for their long-term preservation and stewardship. The project included detailed evaluations of the historic Windermere Schoolhouse, Windermere Town Hall, Cal Palmer Memorial Building, and five remaining historic boathouses that collectively represent the Town's rich architectural and cultural heritage.

Through a series of site visits and building investigations, KMF assessed the condition of each structure's architectural features, historic materials, and structural systems. The evaluations documented existing conditions, identified areas of deterioration, and established a clear understanding of the maintenance and restoration needs of each facility.

The resulting assessment provides the Town with a valuable preservation planning tool that can guide future maintenance efforts, restoration projects, and capital improvement planning. In addition to documenting current conditions, the study establishes a baseline record of the buildings' historic character and significance, helping ensure that future improvements respect and preserve the qualities that make these structures important community landmarks.
